Food Processing industries within the region

 

Traditionally, the Vaucluse has always been important for Food Processing industries.

The important production of fruit & vegetables has naturally encouraged basic processing firms to set up in the area.

With close collaboration between AGROPARC and the various partners, the growth & development of these industries is carefully monitored along two main axes:

  • Optimisation of the highly favourable strategic position at the cross-roads of numerous lines of communication  / transport; 
  • By focussing on production with strong added value,  either thanks to a highly effective logistic support system ( Ultra fresh sector, with 4th generation & 5th generation products), or thanks to the strong commercial image,  linking the product to the local area   ( "image terroir" ).

Today, several international groups work alongside a large number of SME.
